How a line is calculated

Labor lines are days × rate × quantity plus overtime. Other lines can be quantity × rate, days × rate or a flat amount.

Open a line's menu → Details & notes and choose its Calculation:

  • Workbook: quantity × rate × (days or 1), as on the AICP form.
  • Quantity × rate.
  • Days × rate.
  • Flat amount / allowance.

Labor lines work as on the workbook crew sheets: days × rate × quantity, plus overtime hours at 1.5×, 2× (and 2.5×) the hourly rate, where the hourly rate is the day rate ÷ base hours. A blank day count makes a labor line 0.

Fringes, handling, markup and tax are added at the section level, not on the line. See Fringes and Handling, post markup and tax.

All money math uses exact decimal arithmetic, so totals add up to the cent the way the workbook does.
