Lock the bid when it is awarded

Locking freezes every bid value and saves a protected snapshot. Actuals, notes and the running budget stay editable.

  1. Press Lock Bid in the budget bar (or in the section list).
  2. Check what will happen and press Lock Bid.

When the bid is locked:

  • Line quantities, rates, overtime, section rates and budget settings become read-only.
  • An immutable snapshot of the approved bid is saved in version history, and a PDF of the bid is kept with the budget.
  • The status moves to Working.
  • The team keeps working: changes go into the running budget, and actuals, notes and descriptions stay editable.

Only the budget owner or a workspace admin can lock and unlock.
