Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your budgets

actuals has a connector that lets an AI assistant read your budgets: list your workspaces and budgets, open a budget's lines and totals, and see your templates and rate cards. Ask things like "Which sections of the spring shoot are over the bid?"

In Claude

1. Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
2. Enter https://actualsbudget.com/mcp as the URL.
3. Sign in to actuals when asked, and press Allow.

In ChatGPT

1. Open Settings → Apps and connectors and create a connector (this needs developer mode turned on).
2. Enter https://actualsbudget.com/mcp as the URL.
3. Sign in to actuals when asked, and press Allow.

The connector is read-only: it cannot change, share or delete anything. It sees exactly what you can see in actuals, nothing more, because every request is checked against your own access.

To stop it, remove the connector in your assistant's settings.
